These Terms govern your use of Watchgoose. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with the availability, security, or normal operation of the service.

Terms version: 2026-06-18

Commercial billing is handled through Paddle. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, and billing changes are processed through the billing settings pages or Paddle-hosted checkout flows.

Accounts and Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, for the checks and integrations you configure, and for ensuring that you have the right to submit any data you send to Watchgoose. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

Service Availability

Watchgoose is a monitoring and alerting tool, not a guarantee that a job will run or that every failure will be detected. Internet services, third-party integrations, email, SMS, voice, and customer systems can fail independently of Watchgoose. You should keep appropriate operational backups, escalation paths, and incident procedures for critical systems.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Watchgoose to break the law, send spam, attack or overload systems, probe or bypass security controls, disrupt other customers, collect data without authority, or resell the service without written permission. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access where use threatens the service, other customers, providers, or legal compliance. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue.

Billing, Cancellation, and Plan Changes

Paid plans are billed in advance through Paddle unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. You can cancel self-serve subscriptions from the billing settings or Paddle-hosted subscription management flow. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period. Downgrades may reduce limits or features and may require you to remove data or configuration that exceeds the new plan limits.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Watchgoose is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted service, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid for Watchgoose during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, punitive, or lost-profit damages.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires a different forum.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted on this page. Contract and commercial questions can be sent to [email protected].
