Free monitoring for open-source projects.

The Watchgoose open-source program offers a free Business plan to qualifying public Open Source projects and non-profit organizations that need reliable cron, backup, CI schedule, or maintenance-task monitoring.

What qualifying projects get

  • 1000 checks for scheduled jobs, backups, queues, and CI schedules.
  • Unlimited projects and team access for maintainers.
  • 500 SMS and 100 phone-call alerts.
  • A 1 year redemption code (renewed annually) while the project remains eligible.

Eligibility

Good fits are public repositories under an OSI-approved license that run real project infrastructure or community services. Personal dotfiles, private client work, or inactive repositories are not a fit. Applications are reviewed manually at launch scale.

How to apply

Email [email protected] with the project URL, license, what you want to monitor, and the account email that should receive the code. If approved, we send a redemption code that can be redeemed at Watchgoose.

A README status badge or mention is appreciated because it helps other maintainers discover the program, but it is a request, not a requirement.

Open-source support pledge

We also pledge to support various Open Source projects donating 3% of profit from any paid plans. Every paid user/business will get a chance to vote for which project they think we should support from a list of chosen projects for every donation batch that will be made.
