We support Open Source.

We stand on the shoulders of giants, yet so many Open Source projects struggle for resources. This is why every paid plan helps put money back into the ecosystem: we donate 5% of profit to Open Source projects. Qualifying Open Source projects and nonprofits can get any paid plan for free, matched to the project's needs. Sharing is caring. Every paid user gets to vote on which projects receive each donation batch.

Free monitoring for Open Source projects.

The Watchgoose Open Source program helps maintainers monitor cron jobs, backups, CI schedules, community services, and other scheduled project infrastructure without adding another bill.

What qualifying projects get

Approved projects receive any paid plan for free, matched to the project's needs. Grants have no scheduled end while the project remains eligible. We review eligibility annually; approved projects do not need to renew or redeem another code. For current plan details, see the pricing page.

Already have a code? Redeem it here.

Eligibility

Good fits are public repositories under an OSI-approved license, nonprofit organizations, or community services that run real project infrastructure. Personal dotfiles, private client work, or inactive repositories are not a fit.

How to apply

Email support@watchgoose.com with the project URL, license, what you want to monitor, and the account email that should receive the code. Applications are reviewed manually at launch scale.

A README status badge or mention is appreciated because it helps other maintainers discover the program, but it is a request, not a requirement.
